It's possible you just downloaded the game at a bad time, in the middle of a patch. PSO2 Tweaker also allows you to skip the file re-verification I believe if it takes to long on your PC. So assuming you got the game to boot this evening, particularly ~after the patch this morning, you could then rename PSO2.exe to PSO2launcher.exe (after making a backup of the existing one since that's the patcher) and bypassing the launcher every time you boot the game until the next patch is required to be installed. If at any point prior or during points 2) and 3) one of the game's files got deleted because some combo of GameGuard and your antivirus overreacted, it would likely trigger some sort of re-download during the file verification process. ![]() So say you installed the game from Steam on Monday:Ģ) Patcher then checks all 90K files and installs update (can take 5-9 minutes on a modern PC).ģ) Game updates on Wednesday morning and checks all 90K files again, then installs the new update. I'd like to point out we literally just had a patch last night. ![]()
